Drug abuse can be fatal. This is not exaggeration and is proven true with the misfortune happened on a baby in Australia. The murderer, the baby himself? Of course not! No doubt, the murderer was an addict mother allegedly addicted to drug. The baby was a two-month old boy, Georgia. He was lethally poisoned by the drug through the breast feeding that contained harmful substances. The mother Kaisha Poulson, 25 was put into custody after the autopsy revealed that the death was caused by methamphetamine poisoning, a chemical substance in drug. Moreover, the mother was also charged on possessing gamma-hydroxybutyric acid and morphine.
Opinion: Albeit many analogous incidents had happen although not on the baby, still there are many obstinate people refuse to turn over the new leaf to make a brighter future for themselves. May be that's the reason why drugs proliferation can be halted effectively and protracts for a long time. The only admonition is that for those who are curious on drugs or addicted to drug, think twice about the love one before doing anything that will cost the whole life. One step in and there will no way out!!!
It is really a sad news. Actually,breastfeeding should be good approach for the growth of a baby. But now it brings fatal effect if their mothers are not aware of its risks. Just like what had happened here, a mother who is a drug addict can kill her baby indirectly. The milk contains drugs and toxins that may kill the baby. It should not be happened again and all mothers should be given a pre-motherly course to ensure that they know the right and wrong things when they bring up their baby,without harming their lives.
